About Wonder Stories

Wonder Stories are a form of biblical storytelling that uses wooden blocks with colorful illustrations to bring God’s story to life. These stories are meant to spark the imagination and kindle curiosity. The stories retell the truths that Jesus revealed in parables, paradoxes, and miracles in a new way. Playful, simple language captures the imagination. Holy curiosity questions link God's story to daily life.

About the facilitator

Rev. Jen Kindsvatter serves as the Lead Pastor for Shared Lutheran Ministry of Fayette County, a partnership between four unique churches in rural Texas. Jen is a candidate for the Doctor of Ministry program through Austin Seminary; her integrative project is focused on Wonder Stories as a tool for intergenerational faith formation. Jen shares her home and her life with her spouse Matt, twin daughters Emma and Lily, and two fairly obedient, yet exceedingly enthusiastic dogs, Otis and Franklin.
