Looking back and looking ahead…
In early May, the 2024-2026 Faithful Preaching Project's Clergy Cohort gathered for their fourth and final retreat. The time together was full of thoughtful conversations, meaningful prayer, powerful worship, and plenty of laughter! We are very grateful for opportunity to work with these clergy members on their preaching, and grateful the impact and insight that these preachers have poured into one another's lives over the last two years together. We pray that God blesses their continued friendships and ministries.

Do you want to be a part of a group like this? Applications are open for the next iteration of the Clergy Cohort, with online meetings beginning in August 2026.
We have just a few spots left in the upcoming Clergy Cohort from the Faithful Preaching Project. This cohort is a two-year commitment to online Zoom meetings and in-person retreats, and will be composed of 15-20 clergy members from small mainline Christian churches in TX, LA, OK, NM, or AR. The two years together feature preaching coaching, peer support, and four retreats — all with the goal of cultivating more faith-full preaching. Click here to learn more about the cohort.
There is no cost to take part in the cohort beyond your time and commitment. If you’ve been considering joining, now is the moment to act! Don’t miss this opportunity to grow, connect, and be equipped alongside others who share your calling.
Deadline extended. Applications are due by June 15, 2026, with the cohort announced by July 1, 2026. The cohort will meet from August 2026-May 2028.

The Children's Sermons by Children grant is wrapping up a 6-month cohort this summer, and looking ahead to Fall where we'll visit different congregations throughout Texas to interview children and those working with children. We call these "Listening Tours", and we're scheduling them now!
A Listening Tour is our first step in connecting a church with the programs of Children's Sermons by Children, and the first step in connecting your church more deeply with the worship abilities of the youngest among you. Click here to learn more about Listening Tours. We can set up the interviews when it doesn't interfere with your Sunday morning routine; ideally the Listening Tour will not interrupt the flow of your morning in any way. We plan to visit churches this fall between Labor Day and Advent, so please reach out to schedule your visit today.
